Light Control Unit (BLE)

Stand Alone management of the Light control unit through the LabKey mobile app via Bluetooth: keys, settings, diagnostics, and access logs.

The Light control unit doesn’t have its own Wi-Fi network: Stand Alone management is done entirely through the LabKey mobile app on a mobile device connected to the control unit via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

Connecting to the control unit

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  2. Open the LabKey app: after it scans for devices, select the control unit from the list (e.g. “LK-XXXXX”).
  3. Tap the admin icon and log in with your password (you’ll need to create one the first time you connect).

Managing from the app

Once you’ve logged in as admin, the following sections are available from the app’s home screen:

Add Key Add new access codes, with the option to set validity filters by date and time.

Key List List of all the keys (codes, NFC, QR codes) stored in the control unit.

Settings

  • Connect the control unit to the Wi-Fi network, to also enable management from the Manage cloud panel.
  • Change the name of the control unit and its relays.
  • Change the relay activation times.
  • Change the admin password.
  • Set the control unit’s date and time.

Diagnostics

  • View the connected readers.
  • Check that the readers are working.
  • Update the control unit’s software.

Access Log View the history of accesses recorded offline.
