How to Connect the Control Units to the Cloud

LabKey control units connect to the cloud differently depending on the model:

• The Light control unit connects through the mobile app via Bluetooth (BLE), without needing a Wi-Fi or Ethernet network.
• The Basic control unit connects through its own Wi-Fi, by accessing the page http://128.50.1.1 (for more information, see Connecting to the control unit).
• The PRO control unit has an RJ45 network port, for connection via Ethernet cable.
• The LTE control unit requires no configuration: it connects to the cloud automatically thanks to its built-in SIM connectivity, available worldwide.

Light Control Unit

Connect your phone to the control unit via the mobile app over Bluetooth (BLE), then connect the control unit to Wi-Fi from Settings.

Basic Control Unit

On the page http://128.50.1.1, connect the Basic control unit to the Wi-Fi network by clicking “Start Wi-Fi network configuration”, then select your Wi-Fi network.

PRO Control Unit

Connect the control unit to the physical network via RJ45 plug. On the page http://128.50.1.1, click “LAN Settings”.

LTE Control Unit

Connect the USB stick with built-in SIM to the control unit. On the page http://128.50.1.1, click “LTE Settings”.
