Follow the instructions below to enable remote and/or BLE opening through the mobile app, both on the control unit and for users, starting from the cloud Manage panel.
If instead you use the app to manage a Light control unit in stand-alone mode, go to this section.
Enable the Mobile App on the Control Unit: Go to “My LabKey” -> “LabKey” from the side navigation menu of the Manage panel.

Enabling Geolocation Lock

To ensure an additional level of security, you can enable the geolocation lock feature. This option lets mobile app users open the gate or access point remotely only when they are within a specific distance radius. This prevents accidental opening of the gate or access point and strengthens security for remote access control.
Enable Geolocation: Log in to the Manage panel and click “My LabKey” -> “LabKey” from the side menu.

How to Install the App

To use remote and/or BLE opening from your smartphone, or to manage your Light control unit, first install the LabKey mobile app:

This option is especially useful when managing numerous gates with different reader technologies.
Where to Find the Fast-URL The Fast-URL is unique to each user in the Manage panel. Follow these steps to get it:

Two-Factor Authentication

To increase the level of security, you can enable two-factor authentication for remote opening via Web Link.
When enabled, it requires the user to enter an additional code (a second security factor), which is sent via email before use.
The email address used will be the one entered in the user’s profile during user creation.
To activate this authentication, follow the steps described in the Fast-URL section.

Managing the Light Control Unit from the App

For the LabKey Light control unit, in stand-alone mode, key and settings management is handled directly through the mobile app, without going through the cloud Manage panel.
